EMS

Electro-muscle stimulation at CARABAO

What is EMS?

EMS means Electric muscle stimulation. This training method uses electrical impulses to trigger muscle contractions.

Unlike conventional training, where the muscles are controlled via electrical signals from the central nervous system, with electrical muscle stimulation the muscles receive impulses from outside. During EMS training, this light electrical impulse is applied via a vest equipped with electrodes; the impulse activates and contracts the muscles.

Difference from regular strength training

In contrast to conventional strength training, you train all muscle groups at the same time and thus increase your isometric maximum strength.
Studies by the Cologne Sports University have shown that untrained people have achieved increases in strength of over 20%. This value usually corresponds to results that can otherwise only be achieved through high-intensity and long-term strength training.

Time factor:
Just 20 minutes per week can be enough to quickly experience individual training success!

Positive effects of EMS training

  • Time saving: Simultaneous training of all muscle groups. The time spent on training is limited to a total of 20-25 minutes.
  • Achieving optimal body fat %: Effective strengthening training transforms the organism into a true calorie-burning furnace.
  • Targeted muscle building: Thanks to the electrodes that lie precisely on the body, every impulse hits exactly the target. This means there are no incorrectly performed exercises.
  • Relief of the joints: Since the electrical impulse has a targeted effect on the muscle, the risk of joint strain, as is known from training with weights, is eliminated.
  • Relief from back pain: With the help of the electrodes mounted in the training vest, the muscles along the spine are strengthened. In this way, complaints that can be traced back to weak postural muscles can be eliminated.
  • Creating muscle balance: The impulses from outside help the “weak chain links” in your own body to develop easily.
  • Improved posture, better general well-being: The electrical impulses are able to reach deeper postural muscles and make them work.
  • Better blood flow to the tissues around the muscles: The muscle pump is one of the most effective forms of fighting cellulite.
  • Bone loss, prevention of bone fractures: The pulling effect that results from the work of the muscles and acts on the bones via the tendons guarantees the strengthening of the bones and thus the prevention of bone loss
